I’m excited to be a part of this innovative and new way of working. Technology has opened up these new possibilities for people to connect across distances never before thought of.
Specifically in the light of the Covid-19 crisis, online working is becoming the new normal.
Online counselling is a newchallenge, Iknow, and I have been working as a telephone counsellor and online for over 8 years now.
I would stress that it is not the best medium for working with eating disorders, self harm, or relationship difficulties(if you share the same apartment or house).
I am an experienced counsellor, and I have worked in the NHS and third sector for over 15 years .
I have a Masters degree in Integrative counselling and am a registered member of my professional body BACP.
I have also trained at the Philadelphia Association, and the Centre for Jungian Studies over the years
I have worked across many cultures in London’s inner cities and helped my clients to a better understanding of their continuing journey of personal growth.
I firmly believe in the potential that people have when it comes to making great changes in their lives and overcome their issues, and that the possibility of change and growth are always available.
It is my own personal experience in the world of therapy that allows me confidence to appreciate the potential of all of us in our continuing journey through our lives.
For this reason, I always try to work in a simple and natural way, establishing mutual trust and looking positively at all the achievements we are going to achieve thanks to a joint work.
There are some differences though in the online counselling world. Firstly I must ask you to bear in mind that you are going to have more responsibility for your own safety.
By this, I mean you will need to have a safe space where you can talk for 50 minutes without being overheard or interrupted .Also if you become upsat, please let me know as it is not always easy to see slight changes using webcams etc.
I cannot work with international clients from the USA unfortunately due to legal /insurance cover issues.
